We do not own, control, monitor, endorse, or verify the destination URLs generated by users.We are not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any content, security, malware, legal compliance, or damages caused or alleged to be caused by any third-party links shortened on our platform. The creator of each shortened link is solely and exclusively responsible for the content and destination of the links they create and share.

Welcome to GoLink. We value your privacy and aim to be transparent about how we collect and manage data. GoLink provides a URL shortening service that allows users to create branded short links. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website (golink.id) and our core redirection services.
2. Information We Collect
To operate our service and provide analytics dashboards to link creators, we collect several types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in using Google OAuth, we collect your name, email address, and avatar URL to authenticate you and assign you to a Workspace.
- Link Data: We store the original destination URLs and the shortened URLs (slugs) that you create.
- Redirection & Analytics Data: When someone clicks a shortened link generated on our platform, we automatically collect basic analytics metadata:
- Referrer information (where the click originated)
- Device Type (Mobile, Desktop, or Tablet)
- Browser type (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
- Timestamp of the redirection click
- IP address (used temporarily for unique click estimation and geographical routing, and then aggregated)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and protect our core redirection engine and user dashboards.
- To compile and display real-time analytics graphs (such as clicks over time, device breakdowns, and browser types) for the creators of the links.
- To prevent fraud, link redirection loops, spam, malware distribution, or other abusive behaviors on our platform.
- To facilitate workspace team collaboration and notifications.
4. Data Sharing and Retention
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data in the following limited circumstances:
- With Workspace Members: Analytics data and shortened link history are visible to all members of the corresponding workspace you belong to.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, especially to investigate illegal link destinations.
- Service Providers: We utilize hosting, database, and security providers (such as Vercel and PostgreSQL databases) that adhere to modern data security standards.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use secure, signed session tokens (JWT) stored in HTTP-only cookies to authenticate you when you sign in via Google OAuth. These cookies prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) and cross-site request forgery (CSRF) to protect your session. No advertising trackers are placed by GoLink.
6. Your Rights & Choice
As a GoLink user, you have full control over your data. You can delete or archive any of your shortened links directly from your User Dashboard at any time. If you decide to delete your account or workspace, all associated custom domains, link records, and click logs will be permanently deleted from our database.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
